About Glassco Recycling

Glassco Recycling Ltd. is Ireland’s largest collector and recycler of post-consumer glass and can packaging.

It was formed following the merger of the glass and can recycling division of Rehab Enterprises Ltd and Glassco Recycling Ltd  in December 2009. Prior to this merger, both companies were active in the collection and processing/recycling of waste glass and can packaging. Rehab Enterprises had built up an extensive bring bank collection network nationwide and Glassco had just completed the development of a world-class glass recycling plant. The merger resulted in the consolidation of both companies’ strengths into a stronger single entity allowing for a more competitive offering to its combined customer bases. This was achieved through consolidated collection networks across Ireland, offering the most up-to-date collection services coupled with high quality data-capture and value savings for customers through lower cost processing capabilities.

The company currently holds collection and recycling contracts with 25 local authorities across Ireland.

Glassco Recycling operates from a waste permitted processing facility in Naas, Co. Kildare along with collection depots in Cork and Galway. The company has 68 employees, 11 of whom are people with specials needs.

Glassco Recycling currently services in excess of 1,300 bring bank locations on behalf of local authorities nationwide together with approximately 2,300 private customers primarily in the hospitality sector.
