Rehab GlasscoRehab Glassco

Glass recycling is easy, fun and good for the environment. When recycling glass follow these simple steps:

Rehab Glasscoempty any remaining liquid from your bottles and jars

Rehab Glasscoremove any lids and caps. Labels do not need to be removed as they will be taken off in the recycling _____process (see how it's done here)

Rehab Glasscofood jars should be rinsed to remove any residues from the container but they don't need to be completely _____spotless - remember water is precious too so a good rinse will do!Clearly Not Glass
Rehab Glasscoplease do not leave bags, boxes or rubbish at your local bring site as this will attract vermin and cause a _____health risk to other users of the facility

Rehab Glasscotake your bottles and jars to your local bottle bank or bring centre and deposit your bottles and jars into _____the colour coded bins i.e. clear, green and brown. If you have blue bottles put them in with the green glass. _____Sorting your bottles by colour is important as mixed glass has to be sorted afterwards which costs money and _____uses a lot of energy.

Rehab GlasscoKeep cans and plastic bottles separate and put these into the appropriate bins. If your local bring site _____doesn't have facilities for cans and plastic bottles please contact your local council who can advise where to _____recycle these materials.

Rehab GlasscoDO NOT put any plates, cups, saucers, pyrex or drinking containers into the bottle banks. As little as 1 cup _____in a skip load of bottles renders the whole load un-usable and destined for landfill or other markets that don't _____offer any of the environmental benefits of recycling. Pyrex is heat treated and so does not melt in the _____furnace. Drinking containers and glasses are made from different materials and again should not be deposited _____into the bottle banks.

That's it! If you follow these steps you will be doing a good bit for the environment so thank you and happy recycling!

REMEMBER GLASS CAN BE DANGEROUS. BROKEN OR SHARP GLASS SHOULD ONLY BE HANDLED WITH GLOVES AND SPILLAGES OR BREAKAGES SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE COUNCIL OR OPERATOR OF THE BRING SITE.
